Embedded Systems Engineer

We're building automotive-grade hardware that ships inside vehicles across Europe. As an Embedded Systems Engineer at XENTRON, you'll own firmware for our XENTRON Ultra platform — the hardware that powers both XENCHECK and XENFLEET products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain firmware for STM32-based automotive modules (CAN, LIN, OBD-II)
- Implement and test cryptographic signing pipelines using secp256k1/secp256r1 via HSM
- Write OTA update logic with TrustZone rollback protection
- Collaborate with hardware engineers during PCB bring-up and validation
- Optimize power profiles for always-on LTE + GNSS operation
- Document firmware architecture and maintain test coverage on embedded targets
Requirements
- 3+ years of embedded C/C++ development on ARM Cortex-M
- Experience with automotive protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, OBD-II
- Solid understanding of RTOS (FreeRTOS preferred)
- Familiarity with cryptographic primitives and secure boot concepts
- Experience debugging with JTAG/SWD and logic analyzers
- English proficiency — our engineering documentation is in English
